From the opening chord of the second movement, Immersion, remaining in the previously established pulse, a theme emerges from it, guiding the piece towards musical shores that could be considered relatively conventional, whilst percussive episodes continue to be present, until the rhythmical structure is broken and the music adapts a more contemplative character. A contrasting trait of abeyance seizes the initiative, exploring an opposite side in the spectrum of musical metaphors, before leisurely shifting gears for acceleration, leading into the third movement.
