The verses saved from oblivion is inspired by an Icelandic tale Sira Halfdan and Björn the violinist. The story tells of a talented violinist who loved wandering through villages until he was sent by his mother to his uncle Sira Halfdan to learn discipline and kindness. Halfdan challenges Björn thanks to the exercise of magic to understand how far his courage will go.
