Exercices de Style

Exercices de style is a musical setting of Raymond Queneau's eponymous work for soprano, bass clarinet, electric guitar and cello.

You will hear seven miniatures that navigate between more or less free musical interpretations of the formal processes implemented in this work.

Two of these miniatures are written graphically, to leave room for musical interpretation and the sensitivity of the instrumentalists.
