Soundscape with the Fall of Icarus

Soundscape with the Fall of Icarus for accordion, live electronics and tape was written between November 2017 and March 2018. Most sounds used in this composition are processed, transformed and manipulated accordion recordings, with some synthesized textures and ambient recordings as well. Also some phase vocoder algorithms were used to analyze accordion sound and produce spatial pads with additive synthesis. Additional electronic treatment of live sound is also used for performances. Essentially this is also a piece for various forms of improvisation and experiments – however note values, positions and durations are fixed, there is a space for articulation experiments.
