This piece sums up my synthetic approach to post-Avantgarde idioms: spectral techniques, are blended with concrete instrumental music, gravitational harmonies and figural writing. Conventional and non-conventional sounds are organised according to a “gestural-timbral syntax”, by transposing the same sound quality - or sound gesture - on different instruments, in order to mix their idiomatic identities. In this way two listening strategies are suggested: a “global” listening, which considers a piece as a unique “transforming” object, or a “local”, microscopic listening, which focuses on the “life” of each single sound event.
