AltreVoci Ensemble was founded in 2013 with the aim of exploring the 20th century and contemporary repertoire.
The Ensemble has performed at important festivals in Italy and abroad:
Società del Quartetto in Milan, XXXII Ravenna Festival, Festival Aperto, Teatro dell'Arte – Triennale in Milan, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Teatro Poliziano in Montepulciano for the 47th and 48th Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, EstOvest Festival, Festival Dialoghi sul Comporre, Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni, Serate Musicali in Milan, Conservatory “Edward Said” in Jerusalem, Festival Soundwave etnoConcert in Baku, Balcan Contemporary Music Festival.
In 2019, a concert for flute soloist and ensemble was held at the Teatro Comunale L. Pavarotti in Modena, with the world premiere of Ljust by Mauro Montalbetti under the direction of Carlo Boccadoro. The composition is dedicated to the group with the support of the Visby International Center for Composers and the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
In the same year the group was invited to participate in the Festival Dialoghi sul composizione at the Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia.
AltreVoci Ensemble was in residence in 2020 at NoMus for a series of online broadcasts with the final concert streamed from the Museo del Novecento in Milan.
In 2021 the ensemble performed at the Basilica of San Vitale for the XXXII Ravenna Festival the world premiere broadcast live on Rai Radio 3 of Teodora by Mauro Montalbetti.
AltreVoci has organized various educational activities, collaborating as an ensemble in residence for maserclasses or annual courses with the Agostino Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto, the Vecchi-Tonelli Conservatory of Modena, the Luigi Piseri Foundation, the Edward Said Conservatory of Jerusalem and the Contemporary Youth Academy of Tirana.
In 2024 and 2025 he organized in Pavia in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro Fraschini an ensemble conducting masterclass with Marco Angius.
In September 2024, they performed An Index of metals by Fausto Romitelli conducted by Marco Angius at the ToListenTo Festival in Turin.
