Nicolas Brochec is a composer and computer music designer studying at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg with composers Daniel D'Adamo and Tom Mays. His main current focus area is saturalism by over-expressive musical gestures, densified materials, and integration of visual arts in his creative process. He has participated to many academies and learnt from Philippe Manoury, Luca Francesconi, Philippe Hurel, José Manuel Lopez Lopez, Martin Matalon, Joanna Baillie and Franck Bedrossian. He collaborated with the ensembles Sillages (FR), Ars Nova (FR), MG21 (FR), Neue Vocalsolisten (DE), United Instruments of Lucilin (LUX), Barcelona Modern Ensemble (ESP), Ensemble 2e2m (FR) and Ensemble for New Music Tallinn (EE). His music has been played in festivals like Musica (FR), Rainy Days (LUX), JIM (FR), Sample Series (ESP) and CrossRoads Festival (AUT).
In November 2019, Nicolas Brochec has received the 2nd Prize of New Music Generation competition (KZ) for his vocal work Bruisé.
