In my trio I use various states of musical materials. But how can the music be liquid, solid or gas? Is the music able to freeze, melt or vaporize? I paired the different physical states with different music characters, which I first set next to each other as contrasts, and then I composed the transitions between them using a special compositional technique: in the transition parts I used aleatoric notation. These interludes seem like that a transforming machine, where the composition undergoes a metamorphosis again and again and the material always changes into something completely different. The subtitle of the piece (Víz, levegő, tűz, föld) means the four elements of matter in Hungarian language: water, air, fire and earth.
