Meditations is a cycle of music works intended to imitate the intimate essence of nature, not its actual appearance, and to serve as an aid to meditation for listeners and performers alike. Each work can last for any amount of time and consists of hundreds of short poems which describe the music in minute detail.
The work was declared finalist at the Franco Evangelisti International Composition Competition in Rome in December 2020 (the competition names a single First Prize and two finalists; the jury was presided by Alvin Curran).
Recorded by Philippa Mo, violin, and Anita Tomasevich, piano
