Strumming

The piece confronts the performers with different aspects of freedom and constraint and presents the listener with a series of imperfect repetitions, discontinuities and approximations. The piece aims at creating rich sound textures through vague and imprecise descriptions of what the performers do, and combines random procedures with a sense of direction. The music comes to be through clashes between individual parts.
