AMOK

AMOK was written to be played by a student orchestra. I tried to reconcile my pursuit of new instrumental possibilities with a simpler musical language. Most of its sonic material comes from spectral analysis of soundscapes and distortion of devised harmonic series.

The structure is directly inspired by Stefan Zweig's "AMOK", a brilliant tale of love, obsession and death.
