KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE stands for a musical practice that is self-organised and self-responsible in shaping the conditions for its own artistic work and constantly wants to cross the boundaries to other art forms and scenes. Our group, consisting of young composers and performers, shares the common conviction to plan contemporary concerts with a specific conceptual or performative dramaturgy or contextual framework. In addition to our concert activities within the collective, we also strive for a lively dialogue with the music of the last decades through our repertoire.
The collective appeared in public with its debut concert "Unruhe" as part of the "Monat der Zeitgenössischen Musik Berlin". In January 2022, KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE took part in the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy University Competition and performed the pieces nominated by the two Berlin music universities from the composition classes. "Unruhige Köpfe" was developed for the festival 48 Stunden Neukölln 2022, and exemplifies the interdisciplinary aspect of the collective by creating the pieces through a collaborative process between video artists, composers and solo instrumentalists.
In 2023 KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE performed at Impuls Festival Graz and at the Darmstädter Ferienkurse, and also featured at Klangwerkstatt Berlin with the collaboratively composed performance 'NOT FOUND'.
In March 2024, KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE was selected at the 2024/25 Rheinsberger Residenzensemble for Contemporary Music.
KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE strives for continuous activity in the new music scene, and with all its concerts and projects wants to invite the audience to a memorable concert experience.
