Anika Ariana Hernández Vera, born on August 29, 2003, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, is a dedicated and accomplished pianist. Currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria, under the guidance of Professor Saskia Giorgini, Anika Ariana has built a strong foundation in music through years of rigorous training and performances across multiple countries.
Anika Ariana's early musical education began at the age of 3 in her hometown, where she studied piano under the renowned pianist and soprano Akie Ito Breton. From a young age, Anika performed regularly in various venues in Mexico, including concerts in Sala Manuel M. Ponce Jardín Borda and Monasterio de Ahuatepec, showcasing her developing talent. Her musical journey continued at the age of 15 in Munich, Germany, where she honed her skills under the tutelage of Prof. Aleksandra Romanic and other respected pianists such as Keiko Munekata and Sarah Steiner. She furthered her studies in Hamburg, Germany, under Prof. Delphine Lizé, Prof. Manfred Fock, and pianist Wera Wassiljeva.
Anika Ariana has actively participated in numerous competitions and masterclasses with esteemed professors, including Prof. Pietro de Maria (Mozarteum Salzburg), Prof. Alfonso Gómez (Hfm Freiburg), and Prof. Ute Pruggmayer-Phillip (Hfm Dresden), among others. Her dedication has earned her several prestigious scholarships, including the Heinrich Fries Stiftung Junge Talente scholarship.
Anika Ariana is particularly interested in chamber music, contemporary music, and jazz. She performs regularly in piano duos as well as piano trios, quartets, and quintets. Her commitment to exploring diverse musical genres and her active involvement in various ensembles reflect her passion for a broad range of musical expressions.
In addition to her primary focus on piano, Anika Ariana has pursued lessons in singing, guitar, and violin, further broadening her musical abilities.
Anika Ariana's musical journey continues to be marked by passion, discipline, and a commitment to growth. She was recently selected to participate in the Impuls Academy 2025 for contemporary music in Graz, Austria, where she will study under Prof. Nicolas Hodges. Her future is bright as she continues to explore new horizons in her career as a pianist.
