Iida Hirvola is a coloratura soprano, cellist and improviser. She performs regularly the newest music for cello and voice (also playing and singing simultaneously.)
In 2024 she shined in two roles in Joonas Pohjonen’s chamber opera “Tiimi”. In January 2025 she performs the role of “Susanna” in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.
In 2025 she will be attending the Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir.
Iida Hirvola has performed as a musician in ensembles Accroche Note and AxisModula (Strasbourg), Tampering Ensemble (Tampere), Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and Pori Sinfonietta.
Iida Hirvola studied voice with Elena Pankratova in Kunstuniversität Graz, with Françoise Kubler in Strasbourg Music Academy, and with Reetta Haavisto in Helsinki. She attended masterclasses with Valérie Philippin (French repertoire and improvisation), Piia Komsi, Sirkka Parviainen and Kajsa Dahbäck (baroque voice), Anneliina Rif (music of renaissance). Iida Hirvola studied cello with Véronique Fuchs, Eva Böcker, Markus Hohti and Pauli Heikkinen.
