Francesco Celeste was born in Milano in 1966. When He was 17 He wanted to be a jazz musician, so He started to study jazz piano with Mario Rusca and Sante Palumbo, and arrangement for big bands with Filippo Daccò. At the same time he also studied classical piano with different teachers. Afterwards there was a long period when, for differents reasons He stopped completely to play, study and listen to music. After this period He started the study of composition at the Conservatory of Milan where He attended the master of Music in composition with honneurs.
His works range from the solo instrument to the large orchestra, developing complex structures starting from simple elements and seeking the right balance between formal structure and freedom of expression.

His works have been awarded in numerous competitions and performed in various contemporary music events:
