GRAZIANO RICCARDI (1997), from Apulia Italy, in 2017 he obtained the Diploma of First Level (Bachelor's degree) in Composition at the Conservatory "E. R. Duni" in Matera with a final grade of 110 /110. In 2020 he graduated from the Master's degree in piano at the Conservatory "U. Giordano" in Foggia in the class of M° Alessandro Deljavan, during the same year he also graduated from the Second Level (Master's degree) in Composition at the Conservatory "N. Rota" in Monopoli, where he studied with M° Federico Gardella and with M° Riccardo Panfili, obtaining a final grade of 110 /110 magna cum laude and honourable mention.
He has participated in masterclasses of composition held by Francesco Filidei, Fabien Lévy, Ivan Fedele, Luca Cori, Biagio Putignano, Juri Seo, and Ada Gentile. In 2019 he studied composition with Marco di Bari at the “Accademia Internazionale di Imola Incontri col Maestro”. In the summer of 2021 he was selected to participate at the composition coursevheld by M° Salvatore Sciarrino at the “Accademia Musicale Chigiana” in Sienna.
He was assistant of Jan Müller-Wieland in the class of composition at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater München” from October 2021 to January 2022.
He has been winner of various composition competitions: III prize of the XIII edition "Giovani Musicisti - Città di Paola" with La voce di san Francesco da Paola (2015) for flute and strings quartet; I prize of the V editon “Wanda Landowska Harpsichord Competition” with In nomine (2017) for harpsichord;I prize of the IV edition “Premio Giuseppe Alberghini” with Holzman effect (2019) for guitar. In 2021 he was finalists of the “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” the main competition to award students excellence in the art’s field held by the Ministry of Education, University and Research of Italy.
He wrote the musical excerpts of the books: "Quando la musica colora il tempo. Musica e teologia in Olivier Messiaen" by Gian Vito Tannoia (2017, La Scala Edizione); “120 Finestre sull’Improvvisazione. Teoria e Pratica dell’Improvvisazione Libera e Idiomatica” by Livio Minafra (2019, Timoteo Edizioni).
He was Artistic Director of the associations: "Amici della Musica" in Ginosa from 2015-2018 where he organized concerts and cultural events and "Officina Sant'Ermanno" in Imola from 2019-2020, an association that deals with social inclusion with performances by people with disabilities.
He realized hundreds of transcriptions, arrangements and elaborations of music from every historical period and for varied ensembles like: “Genusia Orchestra” 2015-2017; “Operum Orchestra d’Archi” 2016-2019; “Amici della Musica Tarenti Cantores” 2018-2019; “Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina” 2019.
He has had over 30 world premieres performed by well-known musicians both in Italy and abroad and with some of them he maintains collaborations, such as the one with the Mexican pianist Jorge Juarez Alvarez who has performed several world premieres: Ave Maria (Edizioni Sconfinarte) for soprano, tenor and piano – at Villa Anna, Matera 2019; Jade in the abyss of a Sea of Words (Edizioni Sconfinarte) for clarinet and piano - at Conservatorio Nacional de Música de México, Mexico City 2019; Gemstones (Edizioni Sconfinarte) for clarinet and piano – at Rocca Sforzesca, Dozza 2020; Hanami for piano solo – at Piano Lab, Martina Franca
2021. Recently he has collaborated with the Duo Amedeo Chicchese - Alessandro Deljavan, in March 2022 they performed the word premier of Semi nelle mani di un soldato (Edizioni Sconfinarte) for cello and piano – at Teatro Comunale of Ferrara. He has also recently collaborated with the Duo Filippo Mazzoli - Denis Zardi that this summer recorded L’inesorabile scorrevolezza del tempo (Edizioni Sconfinarte) for flute and piano in a CD entirely dedicated to contemporary music, that will be soon published.
Since March 2022 his music is being published by Edizioni Sconfinarte.
