ANGEL DEL CASTILLO:

Composer, Stage Director and Set Designer.

Angel del Castillo is a composer, having premiered his works in Spain, Italy, Germany and Russia. He studied in the Superior School of Music of Valencia and he won two first prizes in the Valladolid Composition Competition and in the Musici Mojanesi Competition.

Ángel del Castillo is also the stage director of his works, having premiered at the Bulgakov Theater of Moscow his “Akhmatova’s Requiem” and his first opera “Antifrida” at the Principito Theater of Madrid.

He has studied stage direction with Vivien Hewitt at Opera di Genoa and with Carlos Tuñon at Pavon Theater of Madrid. Also set design with Gerardo Pietrapertosa, Victor de Pilla and Alicia Guma from Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, lighting design with Julio Bao and Stage Management with Pepa Hernandez and Nieves Garcimartin from Teatro Real of Madrid.

His opera Antifrida has just been selected for the Max Theater Awards in Spain, the most recognized prizes in the theater industry in Spain.
