The music of Madli Marje Gildemann (also known as Madli Marje Sink, b. 1994) is inspired and influenced by her interest in biological processes. It arises from the attempt to make these processes perceptible through sound, creating unique soundscapes. Recent commissions have led to collaborations with Klangforum Wien, Mondrian Ensemble, Adelphi String Quartet, Estonian Percussion Quartet, Ensemble Synaesthesis, Sinfonietta Riga, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble U: and others. In 2022 she won the 2nd prize at the International Rostrum of Composers in Palermo, Sicily, in the under-30 category with her piece “Transpiration”. She also received the ISCM Young Composer Prize in Cape Town, South Africa in 2023 for her piece “Osmosis”, which was performed at the annual ISCM World Music Days. In 2024 she received the LHV Composition Prize for her piece "Nocturnal Migrants"
