Iván Ferrer-Orozco (Mexico City, 1976) is a composer, electronic media performer and sideman. His music has been performed at several concert series and festivals in Europe, America and Asia. He has been artist in residence in institutions of Spain, France, USA, Mexico, South Korea, Germany, Argentina, Canada and Cyprus; and his works have been awarded at several call of works: A Tempo Ensemble-CMMAS (Mexico 2018), 44th and 43rd International Computer Music Conference (NYC 2019, South Korea 2018), IV and II Electroacoustic Music Festival UC (Chile 2018, 2016), Seoul International Computer Music Festival (South Korea 2016), Sonosintesis Festival (Mexico 2016); LEMATS (Spain) and the University of Montreal (2014), MATA Festival (NYC 2011), San Diego New Music and NOISE Ensemble (2010), and the Seattle Latin American Music Festival (2008). Iván has been resident composer of the Contemporary Ensemble of Montreal (2004) and of the argentinian Ensemble Tropi (2019).

Iván was a member of NEOPERCUSION, Madrid based ensemble, for eight years. Currently he is a member of Synergein Project and Vertixe Sonora Ensemble in Spain. He is also very active in the field of the electronic arts as sideman, collaborating with soloists and ensembles from Spain and abroad. In 2019 he was awarded with the fellowship Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, national program of the Mexican government awarded to outstanding artists of all disciplines, and in 2021 the International Computer Music Association's Best Music Award.
