Sävellyspaja 2024 International Composition Masterclass & Workshop

Next summer (June 24-30, 2024), the International Sävellyspaja Composition Masterclass will be organized by the Sävellyspaja-yhdistys ry. The teachers are Jukka Tiensuu and Tomi Räisänen. For the workshop concert, each participant will write a new composition. Avanti! Chamber Orchestra will perform the new works in a public concert as part of the Avanti! Summer Sounds Festival in Porvoo, Finland. The selected participants will receive the detailed instrumentation and composing task later. The event is aimed mainly at professional students in composition. The participation fee is 395€. To apply for the Sävellyspaja 2024, please send by October 31, 2023, in digital format (pdf) your CV, list of works, and two scores to savellyspaja@gmail.com.
