PLAYGROUND 2023: Call for Collaborations

Or: conversations, try-outs, and exchanges of energy. The undertaking called PLAYGROUND is an expression of our curiosity. In the past we founded the contemporary music ensemble because, in the first place, we always want to find out what comes next, what’s in the air, what kind of a future can be discerned in today’s pursuits. Our experiences suggest that most great pieces stem from strong relations between composers and performers. Therefore, we’re interested in people and in working together. Instead of a competition, we’re announcing a call for collaborations.

Throughout 2022 we developed six such partnerships. In September we presented those at two festivals: Sacrum Profanum (Teatr KTO) and Warsaw Autumn (Klub SPATIF). Now we’re throwing our playground open again. This year, for composers from and/or based in Poland.
