“Piazza del Mondo” is very excited to announce the Call of Scores “Aperto e Chiuso / Open and Close” focusing on key-themes and values such as:
open, close, inclusion, dialog, difference, passages
Our society is involved in dynamics such as exclusion and inclusion. We debate a lot about marginalization and exclusion, aiming at new strategies of integration, inclusion and recovery. In the meantime, “difficult” subjects persevere a reality of separation, even though the borders are more bland and permeable.
Guidelines for submission:
· Applicants may be of any nationality and age.
· Applicants may submit only one work.
· Submitted works must not exceed 15 minutes length.
· Deadline: May 31th, 2025 (CET 11.59am)
· Fee: The Call is free of charge.
AgorArt Ensemble:
· Davide Baldo (flute in C, flute in G, bass flute in C, piccolo);
· Emanuele Dalmaso (Bb clarinet, A clarinet, Eb clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax);
We accept pieces written for any instrumental combination mentioned above, solo or in duo.
All winners will receive a performance at “Aperto e Chiuso” Festival, that will take place in late 2025 in Trentino Region, Italy.
Significant scores could also be professionally recorded and included in the project “Deep Mirror”, portal for audiophiles, aimed at dissemination of new music.
