New Music On The Point brings together a world-class faculty of composers and performers with a group of 50 musicians (composers and performers, ages 18-35) on our beautiful lakeside campus in Central Vermont. The 2025 festival will include:

– Workshops on Fiddling and Microtonality
– Improvisation, Spontaneous Composition, Bitklavier ensembles
– Professional Development Talks
– Nightly Concerts in the community and on-campus
– NMOP Film Festival
– Gourmet and adventurous meals prepared by Chefs Santi and Kai
– Time to compose/practice, to hike, swim, kayak, and to network with colleagues for future musical projects

The June 2025 faculty is:

Tony Arnold (voice), Katherine Balch (composition), Carola Bauckholt (composition), Kerrith Livengood (composition/Managing Director), Nicole Mitchell (flute/composition/improvisation), Mathew Rosenblum (composition/microtonality), Adam Tendler (piano), Dan Trueman (composition/fiddling/technology), Caspar Johannes Walter (composition/microtonality), Amy Williams (piano/composition/Artistic Director), Michael Wimberley (percussion/improvisation) and our ensembles-in-residence: Bergamot Quartet and Popebama.

Tuition is $2,400 USD and food/accommodations is $600. Fellowship and work study positions are available. Applications are free from December 1-January 8. Applications from January 9-22 require a $41.50 application fee.
