Festival Mixtur of new sound creation in Barcelona, in collaboration with Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, is announcing an open call to apply to the orkshops for Performers Mixtur 2023.

The Workshops for Performers Mixtur 2023 is mainly aimed at students and professional performers, of any age and nationality, with interest in the performance of current repertoire.

The Flute Workshop with Carin Levine will take place from October 5th to 7th.

The Violoncello Workshop with Éric-Maria Couturier will take place from October 11th to 13th.

Both workshops will include the following activities:

One-to-one lesson.
Master class by the workshop teachers.
Participation in the final workshop concert, in the official programme Festival Mixtur 2023, with the performance of two pieces.The programme will be decided together between the teaching staff, the participant and the organization, between the following options:
A piece by a Composition Workshop teacher.
A XXth – XXIst Century piece of reference.
A short piece by one of the participants of the Composition Workshop.

Lectures:
The Flute Workshop will include, additionally, the following: Miguel AZGUIME, Hanna HARTMAN, Elena MENDOZA, Oxana OMELCHUK, Bethany YOUNGE and other artists to be confirmed.
The Violoncello Workshop will include, additionally, the following: Lucas FAGIN, Ramon HUMET, Isabel MUNDRY, Hèctor PARRA, Gunda GOTTSCHALK and other artists to be confirmed.
Free access to the majority of Festival Mixtur’s activities.

The application deadline is May 4th, 2023.

The workshop has 5 vacancies available for performers.
