Call for Works 2024

After the positive feedback from the third edition and in anticipation of the fourth edition of the REF – Resilience Festival, which will take place in Foggia from December 1 to December 20, 2024, the record label Empirica, in collaboration with the Social Promotion Association MID SIDE Aps, is promoting a new CALL FOR WORKS. This call will select acousmatic compositions, audiovisual works, compositions for instrument (including those with electronics), interactive installations.

The call is open to all composers and multimedia artists of any nationality and age. Participation is possible both individually and as a group, and multiple works can be submitted by the same artist/group of artists.

Prizes:
- Performance of selected works during the REF - Resilience Festival 2024
- Record publication with Empirica label
- €600 cash prize for the best work awarded by MID SIDE Aps

MID SIDE Aps aims to promote and encourage contemporary art in all its forms. With this project, it intends to support and promote composers and multimedia artists by facilitating both live performances and online dissemination of their works.

Categories

[A] Acousmatic – Stereophonic or quadraphonic acousmatic compositions.
[B] AudioVisual - Experimental audiovisual productions (audio stereophonic or quadraphonic).
[C] Solo instrument - Compositions for instrument without electronics.
[D] Solo instrument and electronics - Compositions for instrument and electronics.
[E] Multimedia Performance - Live artistic performances. Techniques such as live electronics, video, light visuals, dance, instruments, and electronics can be used.
