Fifteen Minutes of Fame

Vox Novus is thrilled to announce a new edition of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, featuring the acclaimed pianist Yumi Suehiro. Composers are invited to submit one-minute compositions that showcase the piano’s expressive and dynamic capabilities while highlighting Ms. Suehiro’s exceptional artistry and technical virtuosity.

Ms. Suehiro’s dedication to performing and promoting contemporary music has made her a sought-after collaborator and a leading voice in the modern classical music community. Composers are encouraged to craft pieces that are bold, creative, and musically compelling, drawing inspiration from themes, techniques, or styles that resonate with Yumi’s dynamic artistry.

Selected pieces will be performed by Yumi Suehiro as part of the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame series. This groundbreaking project has premiered over 1,000 works by living composers. Each chosen work will receive a world premiere in a professionally curated performance.

Deadline: May 1, 2025

We are looking for daring works that can challenge Ms. Suehiro's considerable talents and present original musical ideas to challenge our audience!

Guidelines:
Works are for solo piano only.
Works should be composed specifically for this call and performer.
Deadline for submissions is May 1st, 2025
All pieces must be premieres and not previously written or performed.
No works over a minute will be reviewed.
Multiple submissions are not accepted. Send your best work!
Works need to be submitted online at
You will need to register with Music Avatar for free to submit your work online.
After logging in to Music Avatar, select the opportunity named "Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Yumi Suehiro, piano" and press the "submit" button to start the submission process.
You will need to provide a maximum 50 word biography and 50 word program notes.
You will be able to upload a score as a PDF file (You may also upload an audio file; however it is not required.)
Must include the dedication to Yumi Suehiro on the score.
Performance notes should be included in the score.
Results will be announced via the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame website and the new music newsletter: NM421
