The BLOW UP PERCUSSION Ensemble has been invited by RomaEuropa Festival to stage the first Italian performance of “FIELD OF VISION”, a composition for a 36-percussionist ensemble written by Michael Gordon. Because of its spectacular features, its uniqueness, and the immersive sunset performance at Villa Medici, “Field Of Vision” will be one of the highlights of this prestigious festival which has been scheduled for September 2025.
The event will be curated by BLOW UP PERCUSSION, which is pleased to announce a CALL FOR PERFORMERS/ PERCUSSIONISTS
Applications are now open to both Italian and foreign percussionists who meet the following criteria:
– The candidate must be 18+.
– The candidate must be a student enrolled in Percussion courses at a Conservatory of Music / University of Music or a graduated percussionist.
– For non-Italian candidates it is essential to have a basic knowledge of Italian and/or English.
Rehearsals and performance will both take place in Rome in the week of the 8th and 14th September 2025.
