About
The postgraduate course in Applied Composition aims to provide up-to-date technical training in the field of music production, focusing on the fields of experimentalism associated with the multiplicity of practices inherent in contemporary Western art music and the diversity of means of production inherent to it. During the postgraduate course, students will have the opportunity to work with an internationally renowned faculty, Ensemble Recherche and other group to define.

Requirements for the Students
a) be present in all sessions;
b) compose a piece for piano (to be performed by Alex Waite: 5-10minutes);*
c) compose a short piece for a small ensemble that will be formed and conducted by the Postgraduate students (between 2-4 minutes);
d) compose a piece for other group to define (non conducted) (5-8minutes);*
e) compose a piece for Ensemble Recherche (5-8minutes);*

at least one of these pieces must include electronics or visuals/multimedia;

Structure
Duration: 1 year
Beginning of classes: October 2024
Dates of the final presentation: 25 to 31 July 2024 (with Ensemble Recherche and other group to define).

Entry requirements
Priority will be given to artistic and technical training courses associated with Musical Composition, Musical Performance, and also courses related to the Performing Arts and Cinema.

Admission
Candidates must submit:
a) academic CV;
b) Professional CV (including portfolio with scores and recordings);
c) If the evaluation committee deems it necessary, an interview may be held.

Fee
600€ + administrative costs
