After completing academic studies, he has worked on a wide range of music genres and applications, ranging from composition for live electronics to video art, software engineering in computer music, production and performance of electroacoustic repertoires.

His compositions and installations have been selected and executed in several conferences and festivals, including ICMC (International Computer Music Conference), Festival Synthèse IMEB (Institut International de Musique Electroacoustique de Bourges), ElectroMediaWorks CMCP (Center for Music Composition And Performance), CIM (Colloquio di Informatica Musicale), EMUFEST International Electroacoustic Musc Festival, ADAF (Athens Video Art Festival).

As a polyglot programmer he has developed software in C/C++, Java, PHP, Csound, Max, SuperCollider, and collaborates from several years with Stefano Roveda (Studio Azzurro, Milano) in developing sonic and interactive systems.

Semiologist and music critic, he particularly focused on interpretative and generative semiotics for the analysis of the sociocultural influence on artistic signification. He has presented in several Conference, including International Musicological Society, Convegno della Società Italiana di Musicologia, International Congress on Musical Signification, International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition, Colloquio di Informatica Musicale, Convegno annuale Associazione Italiana di Acustica, International Summer Workshop on Multimodal Interface.

As a performer interested in exploring the wider electroacoustic repertoire, he has directed several monographic and thematic concerts, dedicated to ONCE Group, Jean-Claude Risset, John Cage, Spectral music, Live electronic, Laptop improvisations..

He is Professor of Electronic Music at the Music Conservatoire Vincenzo Bellini in Catania.
