Davide Spina, born in Palermo in 1997, has shown exceptional musical talent from a young age. His academic journey has been marked by significant successes, culminating in a Diploma in Piano Master and Composition Master with top honors. His dedication to the musical arts led him to further specialize under the guidance of Maestro Andrea Portera, a path that enriched his perspective and honed his skills. Participation in Masterclasses led by illustrious figures such as Salvatore Sciarrino, Francesco Filidei, Oscar Strasnoy and Paolo Aralla offered Davide the opportunity to delve into indepth learning sessions, allowing him to assimilate and experiment with various musical influences and styles.

This diverse training has contributed to shaping his musical identity and providing a solid foundation for his career. Davide's rise in the world of composition has been marked by performances in renowned institutions and cultural entities, including the prestigious Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Teatro Bozar in Brussels, the FontanaMix ensemble, and the Gamo Festival, solidifying his reputation as a composer of great talent and versatility. He won first prize overall and the audience prize at the Ferruccio Busoni  Competition in Empoli with his piece for orchestra "Anemoia" performed by the Europea Youth Orchestra and conducted by M. Sergio Alapont. His piece Fear Of Missing Out received honorable mention at the Andrea Cesero (Association She lives) composition competition. The recognition he received in 2021 with a special mention at the "2 Agosto" Composition Competition in Bologna is a testament to his ability to create works of depth and originality. His selection in 2023 for the Composition Competition and artistic residency "ragazzi e ragazze Salvemini" is a further step forward in his career, offering him the opportunity to collaborate with the renowned flutist Manuel Zurria and further solidify his presence in the contemporary music scene.
