Born in 2002, started playing piano for 4 years. At age of 10, started playing percussion in his hometown wind band and conservatoire.

At age of 16, started studying in Lisbon at Escola Profissional Metropolitana, with Marco Fernandes, Tomás Moital, Andreu Rico and Miguel Herrera. Played with the school’s classical and wind orchestra and with Percussões da Metropolitana, touring with a transcription of The Rite of Spring and The Planets.


Played with several Portuguese orchestras, like Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa and Orquestra de Câmara do Alentejo and recorded a CD with Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa Wind Orchestra, edited by mpmp. Worked with diferente conductors like Pedro Amaral, Cesário Costa, Alberto Roque, José Eduardo Gomes, Sylvain Gasançon, Beat Furrer and Pedro Neves.


Worked with several composers such as Luis Mandacaru, Inês Madeira Lopes, Carlos Lopes, Daniel Bernardes, Peter Ablinger, Bruno Giner, Miguel Azguime, David Bird, Michael Maierhof and Cathy van Eck. Participated as musician and performer in a program of the Ballet National Company with young composers that joins music, theater, dance and multimedia during artistic residencies and was coordinated by Luis Tinoco, Valter Hugo Pontes and Joana Craveiro. He was member of the Sond’Ar-Te Electric Ensemble Academy.


Founding member of ASTRUS Duo (winners of Prémio Jovens Músicos Antena 2/RTP) with Manuel Teles (saxophone), recorded the first CD with Portuguese works, which will be released in 2022, edited by mpmp.
Founding member of touchez with João Calado and João Brito (percussion and performance), group that explores new music composed for percussion, combining a strong electronic and performative component, resulting in a creative space of symbiosis between various areas.


Worked with several percussionists, such as Nuno Aroso, João Tiago Dias, Miquel Bernat, Nancy Zeltsman, Christian Dierstein, Brian Archinal, Pepe Garcia.


Currently, he is studying with Pedro Carneiro at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and is playing with Ensemble Capdeville, dedicated to music of Constança Capdeville and other Portuguese composers of the same generation, with 3G, a percussion trio project with his first percussion teachers (Vasco Ramalho and Rui Quintas), is one the young creators working with Fábrica das Artes and Sete Lágrimas at Centro Cultural de Belém, developing performative concerts for kids and also doing free improvisation sessions with classical, jazz and indie artists.
