Natalie Dietterich is an American composer and vocalist from Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Her visceral work mines patterns and is often tangential to social issues.


Her works have been presented at the American Music Festival, the Cabrillo Festival, the Shanghai Conservatory, the LA Philharmonic’s National Composers Intensive, and by Carnegie Hall this December.


Her orchestral music has been performed at the Cabrillo Festival, by the Albany Symphony as part of the American Music Festival, the New York Youth Symphony, and by the NJSO as part of the Edward T. Cone Composition Institute.


Natalie has been awarded fellowships from the Bang on a Can Summer Festival and Big Sky Conservatory, and has recently been a composer-in-residence at the Norfolk Chamber Music and Avaloch Farms New Music Institutes.


She is currently a doctoral candidate in composition at Princeton University. Natalie holds an MM and MMA in composition from Yale and bachelor’s degrees in composition and violin performance from West Chester University.
