Manuela Guerra is an italian composer based in Geneva.


She studied at Umberto Giordano conservatory of Foggia, obtaining the Diploma Accademico di primo livello in composition with full marks and honors in 2020. In January 2019 she obtained a scholarship for Sibelius Academy-University of Arts in Helsinki in the class of Veli-Matti Puumala and currently she's in the Master composition at the Haute ècole de musique in Geneva in class of Michael Jarrell, Luis Naòn and Gilbert Nouno.
During her studies she took part in many masterclass with composers D. Bravi, S. Gervasoni, I. Fedele, M. Lanza, E.Hämeenniemi, C. Gadenstatter, M. Stroppa, R. Cendo, O. Bianchi.


Her music is ispired by philosophical, psicological and literary ideas with interest on musical theatre and a research on the connection between text and voice. 

Her music has been performed in Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Finland, Spain and Russia such as Festival Archipel, Out Hear New Music Week, Cluster Music Festival, Mixtur Festival, 8th S. Petersburg international new music festival, festival Rondò by Divertimento Ensemble, by prominent artists and ensemble like Klangforum Wien, Asassello Quartet, Quartetto Sincronie, Keiko Murakami, Anna d'Errico, Luca Sanzò, Martina Rudic, Adriana Aranda, Ensemble Contrechamps.
