Born in 1986, the soprano Niki Lada originally from Thessaloniki, Greece, is a holder of a Diploma in Voice and Opera Performance from the Municipal Conservatory of Thessaloniki, in Opera, Theatre and Contemporary Dance from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and an MA in Voice and Opera Performance from the Francesco Morlacchi Conservatorio of Music of Perugia. She is a performer of mainly 20th century and baroque operas, oratorio, cantatas and 20th and 21st century chamber music. In opera, she has performed the following roles: Cornelia (Il Trionfo dell’Onore-Scarlatti), Geraldine (A Hand of Bridge-Barber), Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro-Mozart), Elle (La Voix Humaine-Poulenc), Lucy (The Telephone-Menotti), Mme Gobineau (The Medium-Menotti), Gretel, Taumann, Sandmann (Haensel und Gretel-Humperdinck), Madre (Yolka-Rebikov), Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief-Menotti), Serpina (La Serva Padrona-Pergolesi), Little Red Riding Hood (Little Red Riding Hood-Barab). She has performed music of composers like Berio, Berberian, Marco di Bari, Scelsi, Part, Vasks, Zorn, Casella, Barber, Poulenc, Bernstein and others in various venues and has furthermore participated in festivals such as the Modern and Contemporary Music Festival of Perugia, the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto Ed. 59, ED. 60 with works of Berio, Berberian, Scelsi, Vasks, Zorn, Poulenc, Bernstein and has been selected by the IDEA (International Divertimento Ensemble Academy) for the Rondò in Monferrato 2017. She has additionally performed roles as an actor while she has participated in the 512 Hours performance of Marina Abramovic in the Serpentine Galleries. She has taken part in masterclasses with A. Caiello, T. Cardace, G. Pittavini, C. Studer, K. Hartgrove, G. Vagianos, K.Karatza, S. Theodoridou, G. Hatzinikos, C. Noulis, C.Yagkouli and T. Sotiriadis while she frequented lessons with Françoise Ferrand (National Opera of Paris), Charon Coste (Jacques Thibaud Conservatory of Bordeaux), Asa Bäverstam, Susanna Eken, Kirsten Buhl Møller (Royal Danish Academy of Music). She has graduated from the English Language and Literature Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and knows English,Italian and French.
