Esteban Zapata Blanco is a composer born in Arteixo (A Coruña) in 1992. He started to play piano when he was eight years, and it was not till he turn sixteen when he started to write music.

In 2011, he started to study a bachelor in music composition in the Conservatory of A Coruña with teachers as Manuel Varela, Fernando Buíde and Julián Rodríguez. In 2016, he received an Erasmus scholarship to study in the Utrecht Conservatory.

After the Erasmus, he finished his studies in composition with honors in A Coruña and he moved to The Netherlands again to study a master in composition with Jeroen D'Hoe and Caroline Ansink.

In 2018, he finished his master in music composition in the Utrecht Conservatory and he moved back to Spain to continue working as a composer, musician and music teacher. 

In the last three years, he premiered different pieces for orchestra, ensemble and wind band in Spain and The Netherlands with orchestras as Radio Philarmonisch Orkest, Orquesta del CSMC and Utrecht Conservatory Orchestra.
