Tomislav Oliver (Zagreb, Croatia) graduated in Musicology and Composition from the Music Academy in Zagreb. Composed a number of works for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, instruments with electronics, orchestra and acousmatic music. He is also the author of music for experimental films, ballet and contemporary dance. He's collaborating with numerous artists from different fields of art, notably the croatian "B.A.K.A" artistic collective which places emphasis on experimenting with electronic music, sound design and audio-visual projects. He has worked with renowned musicians and ensembles like Riot Ensemble, Kebyart Ensemble, ensemble recherche, Cantus Ensemble, Synchronos Ensemble (Vid Veljak), Zagreb Philharmonic (mo. Luca Pfaff), Clara Haskil trio, Susanne Peters, Boris Brovtsyn, Boris Andrianov, Wu Wei, etc. In 2015 he enters Mozarteum, Salzburg for a postgraduate studies in composition in the class of Stephan Winkler. In 2019 he enters ESMUC, Barcelona for postgraduate studies in composition in the class of Mauricio Sotelo. He also participated in master classes and workshops with Nigel Osborne, Raphaël Cendo, Klaus Lang, Beat Furrer, Stefan Prins, Rebecca Saunders, Elena Mendoza, Martin Matalon, João Pedro Oliveira, Michael Beil, among others. From 2017 he is active as a member of the programme board and assistent producer for the Music Biennale Zagreb festival of contemporary music, as well as a moderator of interviews with guest composers and discussion panels for the Croatian Composer's Society. From 2018 he works at the Department of Composition and Music theory on Music academy in Zagreb where he teaches 19th and 20th century music analysis. In june 2021 he enters Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz for master studies in Computer music with Marko Ciciliani and composition studies with Franck Bedrossian.
