Annalisa Orlando, born in 1991, began her piano studies at the age of seven. In 2012 she graduated from ''T. Schipa'' Conservatory (Lecce) magna cum laude under the guidance of Pierluigi Camicia. Then she continued her studies with Benedetto Lupo and Carlo Gallo at the ''N. Rota'' Conservatoy (Monopoli), where she completed the II Level Academic Course, magna cum laude with a dissertation about György Ligeti's ''Musica Ricercata'' thanks to which she received a special mention from the jury. At the same time she participated in masterclasses with great pianists such as Michele Marvulli, Aldona Budrewicz- Jacobson, Jeffrey Swann, Andrea Lucchesini, Marisa Somma, Cristiano Burato and Evgeny Sinaiski. She was also partecipant into the 8. Lied Academy in Trossingen. She was placed at first positions in different national and international competitions Amongst them she received a special mention from the jury at "XII Società Umanitaria Competition" in Milan and "Premio Lamberto Brunelli for the best graduate- ed.2013" in Vicenza. With the performance of Beethoven's First Piano Concerto op.15 she won the first prize at the competition "Eurorchestra-Lions Costanza d'Altavilla ed.2014". Annalisa Orlando performs regularly as soloist and chamber musician in Italy and abroad: at Royal College of Music and Kingston University in London (concert broadcasted by Radio Vaticana) for ''Operation Italy vs England- Music to see ed. 2012- 2013'', at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen in Mannheim for ''Gesellschaft für Neue Musik'', in Heidelberg for ''LMN Rhein Neckar'', in Bruxelles for “Art Base”, at Fori Imperiali Museum in Rom for the National Music Day, in Verbania and Venice for the International Festival ''I concerti Ciani'', in Milan for ''I concerti dell'Umanitaria'' and ''La Società del Quartetto'', in Pescara for ''I concerti della Domenica dell'Accademia Musicale Pescarese'', in Lecce for ''Camerata Musicale Salentina'' and ''Festival Muse Salentine'', Brindisi, Bari. She took part in productions held by the ''Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori'', the ''Tito Schipa''Orchestra, the ''National Theater'' in Mannheim and the “Stuttgarter Philarmoniker”, playing celesta, harmonium and piano and played as soloist with the ''N. Rota Conservatory Orchestra'' conducted by Pablo Varela and the ''Eurorchestra da Camera di Bari'' conducted by Francesco Lentini. A special affinity for chamber music brings her to deepen the repertoire for violin and piano and the lied repertoire with different partners. She regularly collaborates with the violin class of the renowed italian musician Marco Rizzi and the singing class of Snezana Stamenkovic at the Musikhochschule in Mannheim, where she is actually continuing her studies under the guidance of Scott Faigen, Chiaki Ohara, Corinna Korff-Willcox and Barbara Baun. Currently she is recipient of the ''Yehudi Menuhin-LMN Rhein Neckar'' scholarship. Annalisa played the in november 2017 the premiere of the piece “That got away” for solo piano composed from Jalalu Kalvert Nelson in Biel (Switzerland). She was chosen as partecipant into the workshop of the pianist Mariagrazia Bellocchio on the “Ligeti Piano Etude” organised from “Divertimento Ensemble” in Milano.
