L'ESPACE DU SON : INTERNATIONAL ACOUSMATIC FESTIVAL
This year, the spacialized performance competition L’Espace du Son is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. This unique competition enables young performers to promote the professionalization of a little-known, yet essential discipline in the context of the live projection of acousmatic music. The competition will take place during the entire duration of the festival, completing an already rich program. Remaining true to its acousmatic orientation, L’Espace du Son will present no less than seven internationally renowned composers: Francois Bayle, Francis Dhomont, Daniel Blinkhorn, Pete Stollery, Hans Tutschku, Denis Dufour and Ingrid Drese will take turn behind the mixing board and introduce several of their works. Four free-entrance masterclasses will also take place during the festival. And in order to take a first step toward the holiday season, INFLUX is offering an acousmatic Christmas! Short pieces specially selected for children* and their parents will be performed on Sunday, 5pm (free entrance).
