Each year, Nief-Norf’s International Call for Scores invites submissions of contemporary scores in a variety of rotating categories. The selected works are performed at the annual Nief-Norf Summer Festival by Performance Fellows and festival artists.
This year, Nief-Norf is proud to present a dedicated Call for Scores Showcase Concert at the Nief-Norf Summit at Knoxville, Tennessee. 2-3 scores from each category will be selected, rehearsed throughout the Summer Festival, and performed as part of our culmination of new music.
Composers of selected compositions will be invited to the Nief-Norf Summit in the days leading up to the performance to coach and collaborate with performers in preparation for the Call for Scores Showcase Concert.
Composers must be 18 years of age or older by May 31, 2023.
Application fee is Pay What You Can, with a suggested $15 amount per submission.
