Klexoslab is a festival of contemporary music. During the week you can meet, listen to and work with musicians of the highest level and recognition in the field of contemporary music, as well as share experiences in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
Throughout the week there will be reading sessions, talks and different workshops; you will be able to attend the cycle of concerts, in which the creations worked on by the students during the composition workshop will be premiered, as well as having comfortable work spaces.

COMPOSITION WORKSHOP
During the festival there will take place a composition workshop. Pieces or movements will be worked on for the ensemble Klexos (4 saxophones and performer with multimedia elements) or any derived formation. In addition, there will be other workshops (extended techniques, experimentation, improvisation, etc.), talks and round table discussions.
Students registered as active will compose up to a maximum of 10 minutes of music that will be premiered in the concert within the festival on July 22nd, at 12:00 in the auditorium San Francisco in Plasencia
Registration fee active student: 200€ (6 places)
CALENDAR
The festival and composition workshop will take place from 18 to 22 July 2022 in Plasencia (Cáceres).
JULY 18TH
12:00 Reception of students and welcome ceremony in the Auditorio San Francisco in Plasencia (C. de San Marcos, 8, 10600 Plasencia, Cáceres).
JULY 18TH – 21ST
Classes, workshops, reading sessions and concerts.
JULY 22ND
12:00. Concert with the premiere of works by the composers of the workshop in the Auditorio San Francisco de Plasencia.
ACCOMMODATION
For students who request it, the organisation provides accommodation in the hostel "La Muralla" and full board (18 - 22 July) at the price of 180€. To add an overnight stay, please contact the organisation.
ADMISSIONS
A full refund will be given to those who are not admitted because they exceed the number of places available.
The admission criteria will take into account the composer's career and closeness to the Klexos aesthetic. The chosen instrumentation will not be taken into account, as long as it can be performed by Klexos (maximum of 5 performers, 4 of them saxophonists and 1 composer-multimedia artist). Therefore, by way of example, duo works (saxophone duo, performer duo), trios, quartets and quintets of different characteristics with or without multimedia elements are accepted.
