Ekaterina Buzovkina was born on October, 21, 1994 in Moscow.

Studied piano in a Moscow musical school. During senior school years Ekaterina started to compose music under the guidance of composer Tatyana Chudova, professor of Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky.

In 2014 Ekaterina graduated from college at Moscow State Musical Pedagogical Institute named after M.Ippolitov-Ivanov, speciality: Music theory.

Currently Ekaterina is a 4-th year student of Moscow State Musical Pedagogical Institute named after M.Ippolitov-Ivanov, speciality: Composition, cathedra: Musicology & Composition, class of composer Mikhail Bronner, instrumentation class of Igor Kadomtsev.

Ekaterina is author of piano, instrumental, orchestra and vocal music.

Piece “Watercolour city” was composed at the order of “Il Salice” gallery and performed in Palazzo Castelmur, Switzerland.

2008 – Winner of open All-Russian young composers contest at Moscow State Institute of Music n.a. A.Schnittke – 1-st prize.

2008 – Participant of program: “Children to Children”, Moscow International Performing Arts Center, under Vladimir Spivakov’s Charity Fund. Piano and violin piece: “Delusion”.

2008 – Diploma winner of the II Moscow Children-Youth Festival n.a. N.Rakov (composition).

2008 – Diploma winner of Moscow International Slavonic Music Festival (piano).

2009 – Laureate of the VI International Young Composers Competition “Chrystal Kamerton” n.a. A.Petrov, piece “Dell of Desires” for violin and harp – 1-st prize.

2015 – Laureate of the International Young Composers Competition in memory of A.Schnittke and S.Richter in frames of VIII Winter International Festival of Arts in Sochi under direction of Yuri Bashmet. –2-nd prize. String quartet “Affect” was performed by musicians of maestro Y.Bashmet “Moscow Soloists”

2016 – Laureate of the International Young Composers Competition in memory of S.Prokofyev in frames of IX Winter International Festival of Arts in Sochi under direction of Yuri Bashmet. – 1-st prize. Piano quintet “Duel with Fate” was performed by musicians of maestro Y.Bashmet “New Russia” orchestra

2016 – Laureate of “Malta International Composition Competition 2016” – 3-rd prize.

2016 – Finalist of “Maurice Ravel Composition Competition 2016”, Novara-Bergamo, Italy – The best from nation: Russia.

2017 – Laureate of “Malta International Composition Competition 2017” – 3-rd prize.
