Born in Novosibirsk (Russia), Evgeny Novikov has developed his artistic network in France and the Netherlands, where his teachers were Nicolas Prost, Vincent David and Arno Bornkamp. He received diplomas from the Conservatory of Amsterdam – Bachelor of Music in 2012 cum laude, and Master of Music with Excellence in 2014. Evgeny has performed at many music festivals and concert programs across Europe, as well as in Russia, Argentina, Canada or South Korea. His career brought him to perform in significant halls, such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philarmonie de Paris, Rachmaninov Hall in Moscow and more. Evgeny Novikov has won prizes at some major International competitions - the 5th Adolphe Sax International competition (Dinant, Belgium, 2010), the Concours International de saxophone (Dreux, France, 2012) and Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition (Bangkok,Thailand,2017). He is the Winner of Russian National music competition (Moscow, 2016). As an orchestra and chamber music player, Evgeny has worked with the Residentie Orkest (Hague Philharmonic), the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and more. He is the founding member of Keuris Quartet that has won the 1st Prize at the I International saxophone quartet competition SaxOpen 2015 (Strasbourg, France)and the 2nd Prize at the M-Prize International Chamber Arts Competition 2017 (Ann-Arbor,MI). Evgeny regularly collaborates with the Insomnio Ensemble (Utrecht) and the New Europeen Ensemble (The Hague). In 2015-2017 he took part in the postgraduate contemporary music program at the Conservatory of Paris (CNSMDP) – Artist Diploma in contemporary music, that gave him opportunity to perform with the Ensemble Intercontemporain. Evgeny is teaching saxophone in the Conservatory of Noyon (France) and regularly gives master classes.
