Composition Master Class with Ensemble in Residence

The master class will take place in the evocative setting of the Fortezza Vecchia of Livorno, from 07 to 13 August 2024, and is aimed at creating a concert in the program of the Livorno Music Festival.

The teaching program is divided into individual composition lessons and collective analysis courses. The final concert will be dedicated to the figure of Francesco Petrarca: each of the compositions presented must, in fact, be freely inspired by a work of the poet.

The interpreters available includes:
- two cellos;
- clarinet (Bb clarinet, A clarinet and bass clarinet);
- piano (in the case of piano preparation: light and by the composer).

The compositions must have a maximum of three performers. The projects will be selected on the basis of the quality and originality of the musical idea.
